It is just unbelievable that a wound can be become infected in hospital. Hope that from now on all goes well after that initial setback. You are constantly in my thoughts.
Bob - 2008-01-18 10:59:20

Shocked to see that Lucy has been in hospital and things have not gone too well. Hope she now makes a speedy and full recovery.Love to you all.Bob & Jean.
PAUL - 2008-01-15 04:39:07

Please continue to pray for Lucy. The wound became infected at the hospital after surgery and she was briefly admitted again last week. The district nurse is now calling in each day and cleaning the wound and redressing it and Lucy is now on a combination of antibiotics. We are pressing on with Convention work and the mailshot should go out next week.

God Bless

Paul

Lucy Wheater - 2007-11-17 00:40:25

Dear all,

Wanted to say a huge thank you for all the love, support and prayers from our amazing friends and family. They say time is a great healer. I am not yet sure that is true and we all miss Mum so much that sometimes words (or tears) are nowhere near enough. I hope to see many of you at the 2008 Convention (if not before) and we will continue the event she cherished.
For any of you who are feeling sad about the storms of life- I have found comfort in the following verse:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philip 4.6-7)

Love always,

Luce xxx

Shelly Jones - 2007-10-25 13:21:13

Dear Mr. Wheater,
I am a Widow of nearly 8 years now, so my heart goes out to you at this very sad time, having lost my Dear Husband Maurice to a long and very painful terminal illness. He went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus in February 2000. Maurice was a great Jim Reeves fan and sang many of his songs in his repetoire as a Clubland Compere before he later became a Christian and Minister of the Gospel. I wrote this song for him before he died - I hope it will be a blessing to you.
My song it has no ending or beginning,
these words will say whats on my mind.
My love for you is endless without limits,
it will continue until the end of time.
Always yours, Im always yours, ever dear, ever true evermore.within your heart, wherever you may be,Im always yours, for eternity.
Each day I spend with you is always precious
I teasure every moment, every part,Im only happy when we are together,I want to stay here forever in your arms.Always Yours, Im always yours, ever dear, ever true evermore.
Within your heart wherever you may be.
Im always yours for eternity.
The years are passing by and love grows stronger,so deep is this feeling in my heart.
In all the world there is no greater treasure
than to have you close beside me in my arms.
Always Yours, Im always yours, ever dear, ever true evermore.Within your heart wherever you may be.Im always yours for eternity,Im always yours for eternity.
Maurice died in my arms so this song is particularly precious to me.
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am a member of Hot Gospel Choir and I know we will all be joining together to lift you and your Family up in prayer also. My Church Family at St. Johns Drypool, Hull will be upholding you too.
God bless you,
With much Love in Jesus,
Shell Jones.

Jonathan Cox - 2007-10-22 09:29:12

Dear Paul, David Sarah & Lucy,
What sad news, I wasn’t aware that Jill was ill, so to me it also came as a real shock to read of her death.
I can visualise her smiling face from all those years ago, back to 1976, when David and I used to play as kids, how the years fly by.
Bonfire night was always a speciality with roast spuds, toffee apples etc.
She will be at peace in St John’s near to my dad who is in plot 7 in the new yard since January this year. The pain is hard to overcome, not a moment goes by without remembering our loved ones, however, at least in our offspring we see things which remind us of those dearest to our hearts.
God bless you all
