About Darby's hair. Well, look on the bright side. It will be cooler this summer.
Maybe like the people who look at the wooly worm and say "it's going to be a cold winter", and the farmers that look at how thick the shucks on the corn are and say, "it's going to be a cold winter", maybe Darby in her child-like innocence knows it's going to be a hot, hot summer. And again maybe not. ;-)
