I'm working on a new communication in our complicated society using old experiences. In
a television documentary concerning “400 years relation Japan – Holland” and a discussion with Mr. Henry Yang, from China, on the world Water meeting in the Hague I did found much information but we need now a next step.
First regular contact Japan - Holland.
In the year 1700 both Japan and China would have their own development based about being independent. The Japanese Shoguns however were looking for a possibility to have a look on developments in the rest of the world. They made their choice for people from Holland and “installed” them on the island of Deshima.
Communication, translation.
From that time there was a problem of communication. The people of Holland were not allowed to learn Japanese. Japanese people only knew the Portuguese language.
Besides the Japanese alphabet, called Kana, there exists also a system with thousands of ideograms the so-called Kanji.
The process of communication was based upon the following elements and/or steps.
-Description and definition of the communication process.
The main item was getting knowledge from abroad and the name became Ranguka. Ranguka means, knowledge from the west, a new way of thinking, child from Holland.
-Translation of words based upon equal sound which was called Onyaku.
-Translation of existing words known by both people which was called Seyaku.
-Translation of new (western) words and or concepts which was called Giyaku.
-Starting of an internal process of dissemination of new knowledge, about 1760, by means of an official function in the city of Edo called Rangadu, which was a courier of knowledge.
The reasons for this function were books from Holland about knowledge and practical surgery of parts of the human body. In Japan they had a good knowledge of the coherence in human body and mind, developed in China during the Han dynasty. The books from Holland were seen as an important completion.
So we come on an existing main problem related to sustainability. We are mainly talking about words but we don’t have a good idea about the mutual coherence and the relation with middle- and long-term strategy. Moreover are concepts often seen as just words.
So we have to make a new start when we will work on sustainability. The following steps are:
-Define a new Ranguka.
-Stop with Onyaku to prevent misunderstanding.
-Start with Seiyaku and Giyaku to get clearness.
-Start with ??????. In my opinion we need now a next type defining and translation for words and/or concepts which are new for both or even all parties parties.
-Find people who will and can be Rangadu’s.
Probably we have to go back to the Han dynasty in China or even further back when we will find a way to work according to the Ties Model. Mr. Henry Yang, from China, mentioned during our meeting in the Hague the work of Confusius.
Confusius said about essentials for a leader;
-Having a vision.
-Having contact with all the layers in his organization or society.
-Working hard.
-Having courage.
Especially the contact with all the layers and the contact between these layers is essential. In my vision this will be a central item for this new century. These contacts have to be reserved to the responsible leaders and the people in the layers, help is of course welcome. But as Professor Laszlo of the Sorbonne University said on an international meeting about sustainability in 1991:
-Our society suffers from a one-side mechanistic view.
-The various governmental control systems increasingly appear to be losing grip on events.
-Well-intentioned expert advice is producing results opposite to what was intended.
As a “Rangadu” I did after my jobs at Philips and in education a lot of work in making a concept for a next step in sustainable living, management etceteras. As a result of a market research I found and am still finding people who would be concerned by being a participant.
Now I'm looking for ??????, a new approach based upon an old word. I was impressed by a new game SUDOKU with 9 X 9 "elements". Is this an old or a new word.

Hey leuke site. Je site heeft een leuk ontwerp;) ik ga binnenkort op clubs een nieuwe club over de live action show maken.
ik ben daar helemaal fan van:P Alle epies zijn leuk en ik hoop dat er nog een vervolg komt;). Ik had laatst iets gehoord dat naar 49e episode een special zo komen waarin Usagi en Mamorou met elkaar zouden gaan trouwens ik heb hier verder niets meer over gehoord maar ik hoop dar hij uitkomt!!
